The skies of Accra were illuminated by a stunning display of fireworks, stretching across the city as the echoes of takbir (meaning “God is the greatest”) resonated through the air.
Under these vibrant skies, an estimated crowd of over 4,000 people gathered at the National Mosque of Ghana for the 2025 Eid-ul-Fitr Fun Fair, a grand national celebration that brought together individuals and families worldwide.

Organized by the National Mosque of Ghana, Jil Al Quran, Qatar Charity, HUDAI Foundation, and TINASCO, the event transformed the mosque’s premises into a lively hub of festivity, spirituality, and cultural exchange.
The gathering was notably diverse, featuring attendees from various national and ethnic backgrounds, including Ghanaians, Lebanese, Egyptians, Palestinians, Syrians, Indians, Pakistanis, and other international communities residing in Ghana.
This event served as a powerful reminder of the universal nature of Eid — a day that transcends borders and unites people through shared values of compassion, celebration, and gratitude.

In a remarkable act of inclusivity, the organizing partners opened the gates free of charge for all children. This initiative ensured that children from low-income and marginalized families could participate in the joy of the festivities without any financial constraints.
A major highlight of the event was the recognition of 800 students from the Jil Al Quran program, who were celebrated for their commitment to memorizing chapters from the Holy Quran. These young learners received monetary awards in appreciation of their dedication, with top achievers earning between GHS 500 and GHS 1,000 and other participants receiving an average prize of GHS 300. This gesture was not only a reward but also a motivation to foster a deeper connection with the Qur’an and Islamic teachings.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed a wide range of activities — from cultural performances and interactive games to delicious traditional foods and entertainment for all ages. The event was a delightful fusion of spiritual fulfilment and communal fun, offering something meaningful for everyone in attendance.
The 2025 Eid Fun Fair stood as a shining example of what can be accomplished through collaboration and shared values. It celebrated diversity, faith, and community spirit — made possible by the unwavering commitment of all partners and supporters.
As the celebration concluded, it left behind a sense of joy, unity, and inspiration, reinforcing the timeless message of Eid: that in giving, sharing, and coming together, we find the true essence of humanity.
