
An eleven-member Governing Board of the Zongo Development Fund (ZoDF) has been inaugurated to steer the agency’s work in accelerating development across Zongo communities.
The board was sworn into office by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama on 19 September 2025 at the Jubilee House in Accra.
Julius Debrah administered the Official Oath and Oath of Secrecy and urged members to diligently implement the President’s directives on advancing social and economic development in Zongo areas.
“The task ahead requires commitment and results-driven leadership. The President expects you to ensure that the Fund delivers real impact in Zongo communities,” Mr Debrah said.
Sarki Alhaji Salisu Maude, an entrepreneur and philanthropist who chairs the board, expressed gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in them. He assured that the board would draw on its diverse expertise to deliver on its mandate.

The Zongo Development Fund is government’s primary vehicle for addressing infrastructure gaps, improving education and healthcare, and promoting economic empowerment in Zongo communities nationwide.
