This is far more than a mosque. It is a community centre, a school, a place of learning, and a space that will help mould the next generation of disciplined, responsible Ghanaian leaders. And yes โ€” it welcomes all, regardless of religion.

At a time when our national conversations include concerns about religious tolerance in schools, it is important to emphasise that this project is not a symbol of division, but a celebration of Ghanaโ€™s unity in diversity. Our Christian brothers and sisters have nothing to fear. In fact, their children will also benefit from the school and library facilities.

This mosque will not only serve worshippers but will equally beautify the skyline of East Legon, attract visitors, and contribute positively to the cultural landscape of Accra.

Ghana has always been a shining example of peaceful coexistence. Let us continue to uphold this spirit by embracing projects that enrich our communities and foster mutual respect.

๐Ÿค Letโ€™s celebrate this new national landmark together โ€” Christians, Muslims, and all Ghanaians.

One nation, one people, one beautiful future.

It is being built by the famous Arab Contractors of Egypt who have been working in Ghana for many years.

It is worth noting that the Dar Al Hidaya Mosque is the first of the new projects that the Arab Contractors Company plans to implement for its return to the Ghanaian market.
The project is built on an area of 7,200m2 and consists of a main mosque that accommodate 1,500 worshipers, a special section for women, four minarets with a height of 60 metres inspired by the Fatimid style, 25 domes, a multi-purpose building that includes two halls for events, an educational school that can accommodate about 300 students, a school for memorising the Holy Qur’an and teaching of the Islamic religion.

It will be equipped with elevators and escalators to provide comfort and ease of movement for worshipers and visitors. It includes two underground floors, used as a garage with a total capacity of 200 cars.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Contractors carried out the renovation and expansion works of Accra and Kumasi stadiums, and built the “Winneba” road linking the capital to the city of Takoradi on the western coast of Ghana, besides the design-build of two ferries to improve the river transport at Volta Lake.
