Free Medicines, Referrals Highlight Sarki Ali’s Community Health Initiative in Manhean Zongo

Residents of Manhean Zongo benefited from free medical care as Chief Sarki Ali Alhassan rolled out one of his planned social intervention programmes for the community.

The Free Medical Outreach, organised by Sarki Ali Community Health Outreach in collaboration with Oduman Polyclinic, offered health screenings including blood pressure and sugar checks, infection screening, and eye, dental, and other vital examinations. Medicines were provided free of charge, and patients needing further care were referred to health facilities for specialised treatment.

Speaking at the event, Chief Sarki Ali Alhassan said the outreach is part of several development programs planned for Manhean and emphasised that it will be held annually to encourage preventive healthcare.

Health professionals described the exercise as impactful, noting that early detection, free medication, and referrals helped reduce the health burden on residents.
