Bridging Markets: Ghana and Saudi Arabia Eye New Trade Frontiers

Sultan Abdulrahman Al Dakhel, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Ghana, has urged business executives and investors from Ghana and the Kingdom to take advantage of the new trade and investment opportunities.

He also emphasised how crucial it is to use contemporary digital platforms and promote deeper interactions that might strengthen bilateral collaboration.

In honour of the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was celebrated by dignitaries from both countries, he made this plea at a reception in Accra on Tuesday.

The Ambassador emphasised the Kingdom’s satisfaction as the oldest bilat­eral partner from the Arabian Gulf to Ghana.

According to him, ties between Saudi Arabia and Ghana remain strong and progressive, anchored on respect and friendship, while offering fresh prospects in investment and development.

He thanked the government for its continued collaboration and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to deepening relations in line with the vision of the two nations’ leadership. He also underscored the religious bonds linking the two peoples, pointing to the Kingdom’s dedication to providing quality services for Ghanaian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, were congratulated on the milestone by Mr James Gyakye Quayson, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the government.

Citing the Kingdom’s contributions to socio-economic development through the Saudi Fund for Development and other initiatives in electricity, water supply, education, health, and infrastructure, he referred to Saudi Arabia as a longstanding ally of Ghana.

The Deputy Minister expressed Ghana’s gratitude for the expanded quota for pilgrims during the last Hajj season, describing it as a move that reinforced the spirit of brotherhood shared by both countries.

To advance world peace, security, and sustainable development, he gave the Kingdom his word that the nation is prepared to carry on cooperating both bilaterally and multilaterally.

To provide their residents with real benefits, he emphasised the necessity of signing and carrying out further agreements and memoranda of understanding.

It was also a celebration of Saudi Arabia’s path toward modernisation, growth, and unification, bringing together traditional authorities, business leaders, diplomatic corps members, and government officials.

The ceremony concluded with a toast to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s good health and a celebration of Ghana and Saudi Arabia’s enduring friendship, which reaffirmed the two nations’ shared commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity.
