The Direct Aid Society has significantly contributed to underprivileged communities across Ghana as part of the 2025 Eid al-Adha celebrations. In a compassionate gesture, the organisation slaughtered 162 cows nationwide to support those in need, including widows, orphans, and vulnerable individuals.

Ali Abdul Salam Ali, the Deputy Country Director for Direct Aid in Ghana, stated, “Fifty cows were slaughtered at a social centre and shared among 750 people. This was part of our effort to ensure that everyone, regardless of their means, can partake in the joy of Eid al-Adha.” He noted that this initiative took place in key cities such as Accra, Tamale, and Takoradi, and the operation cost 80,000 euros.

Beneficiaries expressed their immense gratitude for the support. One recipient, Usiff Isaac Suleman, shared his appreciation: “We benefited greatly from Direct Aid. Especially during Ramadan, we received rice and beans, and this time, we received meat. We extend a big thank you to Kuwait and all the sponsors. May Almighty Allah bless them.”

Another beneficiary, Alamim Indurumus, a Sudanese living in Ghana, added, “We thank Direct Aid. We are very grateful. We are celebrating Eid wonderfully.”
