A high‑level delegation led by the Presidential Envoy for Inter‑Faith and Ecumenical Relations paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, on Thursday, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to religious harmony.
The envoy, acting on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama, highlighted the Chief Imam’s “unwavering role in deepening peace and national unity” and presented a donation of 100 bags of rice, 10 gallons of cooking oil and a financial contribution to support the Imam’s social and religious programmes.
During the meeting, Sheikh Sharubutu commended the creation of the Office for Inter‑Faith and Ecumenical Relations, noting four guiding principles: the common origin of humanity, the call to peace and harmony, Ghana’s divine favour, and equality before God.
The visit underscores the government’s dedication to fostering inter‑faith dialogue and sustainable unity across Ghana’s diverse communities.
