The National Hilal Committee in charge of moon sighting in Ghana has announced that it will search for the crescent moon marking the beginning of Ramadan today, February 28, which corresponds to the 29th of the Islamic month of Sha’aban 1446.
If the crescent moon is sighted, Ramadan 2025 will begin tomorrow, Saturday, March 1. If it is not sighted, Ramadan 2025 will commence on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, is expected to make an announcement later tonight regarding the start of Ramadan.
