Ramadan Women’s Dialogue Highlights Faith, Leadership and Purpose

In observance of International Women’s Day, Iqra Radio Ghana, in collaboration with Raayuwar Maata, organised a Ramadan Women’s Dialogue and Iftar under the theme “Leading With Faith: Muslim Women Navigating Purpose, Power, and Responsibility.”

The event, hosted by Hajia Safiya Murtala, brought together Muslim women and community members for an evening of reflection, dialogue, and spiritual connection during the holy month of Ramadan.

The programme featured a panel of distinguished speakers including Dr. Nasiba Tahiru, Ayisha Yakubuu, Fatimatu Abubakar, and Dr. Akosua Abdallah.

Through their presentations and discussions, the speakers encouraged Muslim women to embrace leadership roles, pursue their purpose, and contribute meaningfully to society while remaining grounded in their faith.

Participants were also urged to recognize their influence within their families, communities, and professional spaces, and to use their voices and abilities as agents of positive change.

The event concluded with an iftar, where attendees broke their fast together, reinforcing the spirit of unity, reflection, and empowerment that characterized the gathering.
