YEA To Recruit 3,000 Arabic Teachers Nationwide

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), led by Chief Executive Officer Malik Basintale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Education Unit to roll out the Arabic Teachers Module, which will recruit 3,000 Arabic teachers across the country.

The signing ceremony, held in Accra, was witnessed by representatives of the National Chief Imam and leaders of various Islamic sects.

The MoU marks a significant step toward job creation, cultural preservation, and the promotion of quality Islamic education in Ghana.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Basintale described the initiative as part of YEA’s broader vision to provide inclusive employment opportunities across all communities.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring that every community in Ghana benefits from meaningful employment interventions.

“The Arabic Teachers Module is not only about education—it is also about preserving culture and reducing unemployment among trained Arabic instructors,” he said.

The Islamic Education Unit welcomed the partnership and expressed optimism about the impact it will have on both Arabic literacy and youth empowerment.

Recruitment under the module is expected to begin soon, with further details to be announced by the YEA in collaboration with the Islamic Education Unit.
