The Health Directorate of the University of Ghana has reported a concerning resurgence of COVID-19 cases on its campus in Accra.
According to the school’s statement, a series of comprehensive tests were conducted on individuals presenting with symptoms, and the university has confirmed multiple positive cases among students and staff.
In light of this development, the university urges all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to adhere to the established COVID-19 safety protocols.
These include maintaining social distancing, consistently wearing face masks in all communal areas, regularly washing hands with soap and water, and utilising hand sanitiser when soap is unavailable.
The university further said it is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its community and has also announced plans for increased testing and contact tracing.
