Jil Al Quran Hosts National Qur’an Day Celebration

Jil Al Quran, has held the second annual National Qur’an Day celebration at the Ghana National Mosque, attracting a diverse audience that included dignitaries such as diplomats, chiefs, Islamic scholars, students, and Muslim professionals.

In partnership with Quranul Fajr, the National Mosque of Ghana, and the Hudai Foundation, the event aimed to promote the values and teachings of the Qur’an. This year’s theme, “Strengthening Faith, Inspiring Excellence,” resonated throughout the program and featured the graduation of twenty outstanding students who had memorized the Qur’an.

Sheikh Ayub Ahmed, Supervisor at Jil Al Quran, explained the rationale behind the event, highlighting the importance of encouraging the study and memorization of the Qur’an.

He emphasized that the Qur’an is the only book guiding humanity toward the straight path, and many young Ghanaians have memorized it.

However, he cautioned that without ongoing support, these young memorizers may forget what they have learned.

The event was organized to promote and provide support for these dedicated students.

Sheikh Ahmed urged all stakeholders to continue supporting initiatives like this, stressing that the values and teachings of the Qur’an are essential for strengthening faith and inspiring excellence.

In an interview with HAFIZ TV, partners of the program called on all stakeholders to support initiatives promoting Islamic education and values.
